Microsoft has re-issued an alert about “BlueKeep” a security vulnerability that was discovered in Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Protocol, which allows for the possibility of older Windows based computers being controlled from the Internet.
We wish to remind you to check if your older Windows systems (all Windows versions prior to Windows 10, e.g. Windows XP, Windows 7) are updated with the latest security updates from “Windows Update” as Microsoft issued a critical alert about a security vulnerability called “BlueKeep” which might enable hackers to completely take over your machines from the internet.

Even the NSA has issued an ominous security advisory about the issue, echoing Microsoft’s fears:
“It is likely only a matter of time before remote exploitation code is widely available for this vulnerability,” the NSA said in the following alert:
What do you need to do if you are running an older Windows system? (prior to Windows 10)
If you are one of our customers: Don’t worry, we have already patched and verified your systems are fully secure against this vulnerability.
However – you might want to check your home systems if you are still running Windows 7, Windows Vista or XP.
If you are one of our friends:
Either open the appropriate “Windows Update” system and verify you installed all available patches and rebooted your machine, or to be even safer; download the below patches from Microsoft and manually install / reboot your system
